The department was established in 1995 and offers four years B. Tech. Degree in Computer Science & Engineering. The department possesses the qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty. Apart from the teaching and academic activities the faculty of the department is actively involved in research work. Core competencies of the department are in the area of image processing, compiler design, network security and web development etc. |

- To build solid foundation in the field of general engineering among students to inculcate ability to formulate, solve and analyze engineering problems.
- To develop creative and innovative skills among students and prepare them to be capable of designing and developing real-world computing applications with high societal influence and impact.
- To prepare students for successful careers in national and multinational companies engaged in the fields of Software/Hardware/Database etc. By developing the ability among them to understand and synthesize data/information and related technical concepts.
- To prepare students capable to work as part of teams on multidisciplinary projects involving professional ethics and codes of professional practice.
